Cherokee
Graphic Design is proud to now offer the application of graphics
through the heat transfer process.
If you are unfamiliar with this process, here is a brief summary:
The
"thermal transfer" or "heat transfer" process
involves cutting the design from a specialized film, with a computer
driven cutting machine. The design is then applied to the garment
using a commercial heat press designed specifically for this application
(not a household iron). The heat press is set to a temperature
specific to the fabric being used, and recommended by the graphic
film manufacturer. It also allows for the even, continuous pressure
required for a long lasting transfer. This high heat and pressure
causes the graphic film to bond with the fabric, and will not
fade with repeated washing.
Heat
transfer graphics are more economical than embroidery, and less
expensive than traditional screen printing for small production
runs.
